Christianity

I see that Britain is now the most irreligious country on earth, according to this article. This is hardly surprising especially given the continuing attitude of denial from the world’s largest christian church towards it’s record on child abuse. Stained glass windows like this one don’t exactly help their cause.

  1. Brilliant observation re the stained glass window! It would have never crossed my mind to see what I am seeing now! I can't stop giggling!

  3. I too think it will do the whole world a lot of good if religion is kept with the individual at home. Indeed, I hope the day will come soon when no privilages are given to any special group of any kind, but that will never be achieved without having a fair infrastructure for all to start with, which is not the case at the moment.

And please, let's differentiate between religious belief and social tradition, because although they do link, not everyone who like to keep some tradition is necessarily a religious person as such. Hence, keeping some traditions then stem from personal values and become personal tools to enable an individual to blend with the society they are part of. After all, one can not live alone.

I hope you understand what I mean.
