Why do people object to things that they hear on TV and read on the internet when there is an 'off' switch?

I can say with all honesty, Doc that you always use language appropriate to the gravity of your statements. Some times nothing else will do other than an expletive.Tell 'em to f**k off and stop being so sensitive!
Dr Zorro and A&E Charge Nurse.........!I am shocked and horrified, working as I do in an A&E department in a genteel part of Scotland I am unfamiliar with language like this - as you can imagine. I am traumatised and will need several large drinks and some counselling to recover.Aye right!Once had a new nurse in the department suddenly start shouting for someone to get the police, on investigating it turned out that someone had sworn at her - on Friday night too. She did not last long unfortunately.
Hee he, Grumpy - yet according to one unimpeachable source this is a field in which Scotland leads the field, allegedly? http://www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepage/news/2693574/Scotsmen-top-swearing-league.htmlthe a&e charge nurse
